The release date for Hitman: Agent 47 has been pushed back until August 28, 2015, Fox International has announced.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film, which is the second movie based on the multi-million selling HItman video game franchise, needs more time for completion as a result of it growing far beyond original expectations.
The delay pushes the film’s release back six months, with the project originally due out in cinemas in February next year.
Rupert Friend will play the titular bald assassin, who took over from Fast and Furious Paul Walker, who tragically died in a car accident in November 2013.
Hitman: Agent 47 will also feature Zachary Quinto, Hannah Ware, Thomas Kretschmann and Ciaran Hinds.
