Hitman’s PS4-exclusive content detailed

IO Interactive has spilled the beans on the first PlayStation 4-exclusive contract for its next chapter in the Hitman franchise.

Known as The Director, the content will be made available to those who purchase the game on Sony’s format on launch day, March 11. Here, gamers find themselves tasked with eliminating CICADA’s Director of European Operations, Scott Sarno, who is involved in some ‘questionable’ affairs in Europe and the Middle East.

As a 30-year veteran of multiple clandestine operations, Sarno is both highly-trained and observant, making him a formidable opponent.

Elsewhere, IO also confirmed details on the upcoming Hitman beta, which is scheduled to kick off on February 12 for PS4. Users are guaranteed access to the teaser by pre-ordering either the Full Experience or Intro pack for the game via the PlayStation Store.

PS4 owners will also be able to enjoy the exclusive Sarajevo Six, which offer an additional six bonus contracts. Each one offers a self-contained story and revolves around former members of the aforementioned paramilitary unit, CICADA.

Hitman was originally due out in December for PS4, PC, and Xbox One, before being pushed into a early 2016. The stealthy shooter will offer an episodic missions structure, with each stage offering a small open-world setting for players to explore and plan their assassinations.
