Team Cherry‘s highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong is finally out. Great, right? Well, yes, but sadly its popularity has also resulted in storefronts buckling under pressure as fans rush to grab their digital copies of the sequel.
As reported by IGN, Steam has been displaying an error message on Hollow Knight: Silksong’s store page, while the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Store also experiencing their own share of problems. In case you’ve been living under a rock Hollow Knight: Silksong has been a long time coming; six years, in fact, following its initial announcement in 2019, during which time details were scarce.

Hollow Knight: Silksong has still managed to get off to a great start despite the storefront issues, as IGN also reports that it has amassed over 100,000 concurrent users on Steam.
Hollow Knight: Silksong is now available (that is, if you can get to the storefronts!) on PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. The game was originally conceived as DLC for the original Hollow Knight, but the project grew in scope and was instead made into a full-fledged sequel featuring more than 165 new enemies and more than 100 different checkpoints.
