Team Cherry has announced that the long-delayed Hollow Knight: Silksong will launch on September 4, 2025 for PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.

Hollow Knight: Silksong originally started out life as an expansion for Hollow Knight, but quickly evolved into its own separate project. Players take on the role of the Hollowness princess-protector, Hornet, as they embark on journey across a new kingdom ruled by silk and song. Along the way, you’ll uncover new powers and fight against legions of bugs and features to unearth ancient secrets tied to your past.

Players will venture across coral forests, mossy grottos, gilded cities and misty moors while attempting to ascend to the shining citadel on top of the world, while mastering various weapons and crafting new tools to overcome enemies and scale new heights. Hollow Knight: Silksong also features over 150 new enemies, including beasts, huntresses, assassins, kings, monsters and knights, with the action completed by a score composed by the award-winning music maestro, Christopher Larkin.
