As most of you know, Phil Harrison was a strong supporter and director for the PlayStation Home concept. With his resignation from Sony today, a lot of people may have questioned how this would affect Home directly and if it would throw it off course slightly. According to a Sony Computer Entertainment America spokesperson, Home will not have a hiccup due to these events.
"[It’s] business as usual for Home. The projects that Phil has been working on including Home are still on track and are still sticking to their current schedules," a SCEA spokesperson said. "Each title and project is supported by a wide variety of people behind the scenes to ensure the highest quality and execution."
As most know, there still is no official launch date for Home and most expect it to be released sometime in the spring of 2008, however, a delay is potentially possible as it has happened in the past. We’ll keep you guys up to date in any news surrounding this highly anticipated implementation to Sony’s online service the best we can.
