British tabloids have hinted that Sony’s long-delayed social network phenomenon PlayStation Home is to begin its open beta phase no later than December 17.
A report in The Sunday Times claims “To try Home, which is slated for release in the next 10 days, players must download a piece of free software from Sony’s PlayStation store onto their own PS3.”
Whether the report is accurate or not has yet to be determined, though it would certainly tie with Sony’s recent promises on delivering the eagerly anticipated service before the New Year comes knocking.
