horizon zero dawn dlc release date

Horizon Zero Dawn’s upcoming story DLC ‘The Frozen Wilds’ is now up for pre-order on the PlayStation Store and will cost $19.99 or $15.99 if you have an active PlayStation Plus membership.

Currently with a placeholder release date, the expansion was revealed via a trailer at Sony’s E3 2017 press conference and will feature a brand new era, all-new machines, and of course weapons.

It’s worth bearing in mind, too, that this isn’t a standalone expansion so you’ll need a copy of Horizon Zero Dawn to play it.

Here’s PlayStation Store’s synopsis of the expansion:

‘’Beyond the northern mountains, the borderlands of the Banuk tribe challenge all who dare enter to survive the extremes. But now this frozen wilderness harbors a new threat, and for Aloy, a new mystery – one she’s determined to solve.’’

‘’The Frozen Wilds contains additional content for Horizon Zero Dawn, including new storylines, characters and experiences in a beautiful but unforgiving new area.’’
