Guerrilla Games has released a new Horizon: Zero Dawn trailer highlighting the game’s expansive and richly-detailed open-world setting, which confirms that the title will feature no loading times once it’s booted up.
Check it out below.
Horizon: Zero Dawn is due out in the U.S. exclusively on PS4 on February 28 and in Europe on March 1. The game is Guerrilla’s first original IP since launching Killzone on the PS2 over ten years ago, and takes place in a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by hulking, mechanical dinosaurs-like foes. Players control Aloy, a season hunter who must venture out into the wilderness and salvage her robotic adversaries’ vital components to fuel humanity’s struggling survival efforts.
Sony has already said that it’s hopeful that Horizon may spawn a major franchise for the company, although Guerrilla themselves have said that a possible follow-up may not feature Aloy as the main protagonist. The game has already received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics, and is predicted to sell as many as eight million copies beyond this year. Regardless of who may feature in Horizon 2, we feel that Aloy could become the next big PlayStation icon.
