A lot of people took issue with the mandatory 5GB install that game packaged with their newly opened copy of Devil May Cry 4. In the end you could almost understand a game of that magnitude potentially doing that to you in order for you to get the best out of the experience, however, what about arcade golf?
Reports are starting to come to the forefront in regards to Hot Shots Golf which is due out a little over a month away. The game is being said to have around a 5GB mandatory install much like Capcom’s DMC4.
With every system having a HDD, we guess it’s not a surprise to see developers use them to their advantage by increasing the streamline capabilities of the game, unfortunately the mandatory install may start to seem like a joke after awhile. Obviously every owner has the opportunity to upgrade their HDD space, but what about the 20GB owners out there who may not have been able to afford to? If they’re golf fans and devil hunter fans, they’ve now seen their HDD cut down to almost nothing.
Hopefully this isn’t going to be a likely trend and the optional ability to install or not will be taken with titles down the line. We’ll keep you updated as things happen.
