CULT Games and White Owls have announced that Hotel Barcelona will launch on September 26, 2025 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, with Nighthawk Interactive distributing a physical version for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S at major retailers including Amazon and Best Buy.
Hotel Barcelona marries action, horror and grindhouse aesthetics where America’s most depraved serial killers await inside a hotel-turned-slaughterhouse. The game takes the form of a 2.5D side-scrolling actioner that follows rookie U.S. Marshal Justine, as she’s pulled into a terrifying reality and forced to battle through hotel floors populated by VHS-era horror-inspired serial killers.

Justine is able to take advantage of devastating powers granted by Dr. Carnival, an ancient entity that resides insider her, albeit at a price. Furthermore, Hotel Barcelona offers a twisted take on the rogue-like genre, as when you die, your past self transforms into a shadowy ally that builds in strength with each run, unleashing ghostly vengeance on your foes.
Hotel Barcelona is a collaboration between Goichi ‘Suda51′ Suda and Hidetaka ‘Swery’ Suehiro, who are best known for their work on No More Heroes and Deadly Premonition, respectively.
