How To Fix Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.1 Game Breaking Bug

Developer CD Projekt RED has provided details on how to fix the Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.1 game breaking bug, which has been causing problems for users following the patch’s launch late last week.

You may recall that the game is still crashing on PS4 and Xbox One despite the update supposedly fixing lingering bugs. This particular issue however is far more troublesome, so much so that CDPR has moved to provide a possible remedy.

The problem occurs during the Down on the Street mission, which sees V meeting up with Takemura at the Channel Street docks in Japantown. However, users are experiencing instances where Takemura will call you but stays silent, meaning you can’t continue with the quest.

Fortunately, there is a way around this, but it requires you to load an earlier save. Here’s the steps to fix it:

  1. Load a save file that takes place before Takemura and V depart Wakaso’s office
  2. Finish the conversation with Takemura outside the office right away
  3. Skip 23 hours as soon as the conversation is finished and the quest updated.
  4. This should allow the holocall sequence trigger with dialogue.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released on PS4, PC and Xbox One on December 10, 2020. Read our review of the game here.
