If you were starting to miss the game console gals, don’t be disheartened, as NIS America, the studio behind titles such as Phantom Brave and Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, has revealed that the third title in the Hyperdimension series is coming to North America and Europe next Spring. Neptune returns as the main character and interacts with familiar faces, as well as retro systems, as she’s transported to the "Gameindustri" of the 80’s.
There’s a new combat system described as even faster paced. You’re allowed to move freely around the battlefield during a conflict and combos are required to fill your EXE Drive Gauge and perform your finishing attacks. A new scouting system allows you to send an ally into a dungeon to receive information on the secrets inside. Burning game discs is now a feature too, allowing you to craft your own title out of the data you find on your adventure and equip them to Neptune and company.
A firm release date has yet to be revealed.
