Infogrames Has Been Resurrected By Atari For Use As New Publishing Label

Legendary UK brand Infogrames has been revived by Atari as a new publishing label later being inactive for more than two decades.

According to the press release, Infogrames will now focus on acquiring and publishing titles that “fall outside the core portfolio of IP associated with the Atari brand.”

Speaking in a statement, Wade Rosen, CEO and Chairman of Atari, and Infogrames’ manager Geoffroy Châteauvieux, commented:

For decades, Infogrames built a reputation as a publisher and developer of amazing and eclectic games, and we are excited to bring it back.
With Totally Reliable Delivery Service, Infogrames is starting off with a strong IP that has a loyal and enthusiastic player base. The Infogrames team will be able to expand upon the strong work of tinyBuild, and re-energize this high-potential franchise.

Infogrames was founded in 1983 and specialised in French computer games before gaining international recognition for their work on 1992’s survival horror godfather, Alone in the Dark.
