Last night TJ Fixman, one of the creative minds behind the humor of Ratchet & Clank and the dramatic story of Resistance, announced that he is leaving Insomniac Games.
Fixman wrote a heartfelt goodbye letter on his personal blog, explaining the difficult decision. Filled with both remorse and excitement, Fixman came to terms that it was time for him to move on and to pursue opportunities presented by Disney and New Line Cinema.
He has promised that his presence at Insomniac will not end wholesale and that their relationship will still continue in a reduced fashion. Fixman will still go on to produce and write for the upcoming Ratchet & Clank movie and assures that Insomniac’s North Carolina studio is entirely capable of finishing Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus without him.
Fixman became a major presence at Insomniac and has been part of their family for over seven years. He pumped his creative juices into nine of the studio’s titles during his time on board.
