Yesterday it emerged that developer Insomniac Games had decided to call time on the Resistance franchise, confirming it wouldn’t be making any more games in the series.
Feeling fans deserved a little more explanation on the subject however, the company’s CEO Ted Price has recorded a quick video message on the matter, explaining Insomniac’s decision to put it to bed.
Apparently, the franchise had reached its logical conclusion in terms of the story the team wanted to tell, though that doesn’t mean another studio can’t take the reins — Nihilistic Software’s upcoming Resistance: Burning Skies is testament to the fact the series can continue without Insomniac’s involvement, Price notes.
