Developed by Iron Gate AB, the newly-launched, Viking-inspired survival title is available for PC via Steam, and has got a lot of tongues wagging following its playthroughs by gamers on Twitch. Valheim PS5/PS4 Release – Is It Happening
At the time of writing, Valheim has not been announced for PS5/PS4, or indeed any other home console. The game is currently in Steam Early Access, so any console version would likely be a long while off at this point. Nonetheless, it hasn’t been ruled out, as per an FAQ on the official website:
There are no plans to release on other platforms as of the time of writing but we won’t rule out console versions in the future.
What Is Valheim?
A battle-slain warrior, the Valkyries have ferried your soul to Valheim, the tenth Norse world. Besieged by creatures of chaos and ancient enemies of the gods, you are the newest custodian of the primordial purgatory, tasked with slaying Odin’s ancient rivals and bringing order to Valheim.
