Bandai Namco Entertainment showed off a new trailer for anime and manga cast fighter J-Stars Victory VS+ at its Global Gamers Day last week in Vegas.
Developed by Zero Escape and Danganronpa developer Spike Chunsoft, J-Stars Victory VS+ brings a boatload of characters from 32 popular manga magazines Shonen Jump and V-Jump franchises into one game where you can settle the score of “who would win in a fight?”
The roster includes characters from Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Rurouni Kenshin, YuYu Hakusho, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Assassination Classroom, Fist of the North Star, Nisekoi and even more.
I got a brief amount of hands-on time to spend with the game and enjoyed the frenetic action despite not knowing exactly was happening on-screen. Playing J-Stars Victory VS+ is like going to a family reunion: you see some familiar faces, some that you didn’t know were family, and in the end everyone ends up fighting with each other.
J-Stars Victory VS+ is set to release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Vita on June 30 in North America and on June 26 in Europe.
