God of War developer David Jaffe has described his experiences with one of the most "emotional games of all time," in the form of the upcoming PlayStation Network title, ‘Flower’.
"I got a great demo of That Game Company’s newest game Flower when I was in Santa Monica last week," said Jaffe. "Now I had played the first level before and really liked it… but this new game? It’s on the road to being a classic, no doubt."
Jaffe enthused about controlling a gust of wind, blowing pollen from field to field in an idyllic setting.
"It lives or dies by the emotions it creates while you play," he continued. "And you guys know I’m a disappointed cynic when it comes to video games evoking subtle emotions in players."
"From what I saw on Friday- these guys/gals at TGC are well on their way to having made one of the most emotional games of all time… if the whole game feels like the stuff I saw last week…well wow! Just wow!"
Emotion aside, Flower’s tranquil environment features lush vegetation and breathtaking grass physics to showcase the unique power of the PS3, along with a staggeringly vibrant colour pallete.
From the developers that brought us fl0w, you’ll know the type of experience to expect when the game is released later this year.
