VG247 reports that PlayStation 3 sales in the land of the rising sun have declined substantially from the previous week, though this hasn’t stopped the platform from outselling both the Wii and Xbox 360 by a comfortable margin.
Sony’s black box shifted over 55,000 units for the week ended September 13, beating out both Nintendo and Microsoft’s platform, which sold 17,568 and 7,568 units respectively during the same period. Only DS managed to outpace the PS3, selling just north of 66,000 units.
