Weekly sales of Sony’s PlayStation Portable in Japan continue to lead hardware in the region for another week running, according to the latest data from Media Create.
The handheld sold 85,421 units for the week ended April 20, as Japanese consumers continue to snap up the machine on the strength of Capcom’s Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G.
Nintendo’s DS is in second place with 44,551 units sold, followed by the Wii, which shifted 44,241 units of hardware.
PlayStation 3 sales were down from the previous week, with Sony’s latest home console selling 7438 units, ahead of the PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360, which sold 6454 and 1076 units each, respectively.
