The PlayStation 3 version of Soul Calibur V has debuted in second place on the Japanese charts, moving significantly fewer copies than its predecessor back in 2008.
The weapons-based brawler sold 34,328 units on Sony’s platform, marking a disappointing debut in comparison to the PS3 version of SCIV, which moved 74,607 at launch.
Nonetheless, the figure proved notably higher than its Xbox 360 counterpart, which sold 7,679 units during the same period.
Resident Evil: Revelations on 3DS moved up to pole position following its launch last week.
Over on the hardware front meanwhile, PlayStation Vita continues to maintain its lead over PSP, though sales still declined week-on-week. PS3 sits in second while 3DS again takes the number one crown.
