Enterbrain figures (via Andriasang) for the week ended December 26 have revealed that PSP horror romp The 3rd Birthday has entered the Japanese software charts in sixth place.
Sales of the Parasite Eve spin-off weren’t enough to overthrow Capcom’s commercial juggernaut Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, which remains in pole position since its launch on December 1.
Meanwhile, Namco’s quirky love machine AKB1/48 enters at number two, proving that Japanese punters are obviously more interested in pretending they’re an irresistible stud chased by a gaggle of screaming pop stars than slaying the demons of New York City as the lovely Aya Brea. Still, who are we to judge — whatever floats your boat, and all that.
