Media Create has whisked in with Japanese software sales estimates for the week ending December 7. It’s not a pretty picture – the PlayStation Portable has been ousted from the top ten entirely, while the PlayStation 3 could muster only one entrant, Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer 2009.
On the plus side, the unfathomably popular Nintendo quartet of Wii Sports, Wii Music, Wii Fit and Mario Kart Wii have been banished to the lower echelons – the trade-off is that we have to put up with Kirby, Animal Crossing, Pokemon and Wagamama Fashion Girls Mode (whatever that is) in their places.
PlayStation 2 heavyweight Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World hit the ground running at second, marginally behind Level 5’s DS puzzler Professor Layton and the Last Time Travel.
