Sony Computer Entertainment announced today that sales of its PlayStation Portable Slim and Lite edition have surpassed the one million mark in Japan since launching there little more than two months ago.
According to Sony, this latest milestone puts it exactly a fortnight ahead of the success of the original PSP, which was released in Japan back in 2004.
Released on September 20, the Slim and Lite edition is approximately 5mm thinner and 3mm shorter than the original model, and features the same, high-quality 4.3inch screen. Also included is a TV output socket, allowing gamers to connect their handheld to their Television sets to view content.
