After a successful kickstarter campaign in August 2014, followed by a year of meticulous crafting, Mogafi has announced Jenny LeClue – Detectivú will premier on PlayStation 4 in 2016.
A point-and-click story-driven adventure game, Jenny LeClue – Detectivú puts you in the shoes of Jenny, a girl from a not so exciting, mid-century town called Arthurton. However, when her mother is accused of murder, Jenny decides to take on the case to clear her name, but things become more complicated when unseen forces do everything they can to keep Jenny from solving the case.
Jenny LeClue – Detectivú is a story within a story where the players will define its outcome. In the game, Jenny and her world exist in a series of adventure books written by Arthur K. Finklestein who also acts as narrator and guide. With influence from both Jenny and the narrator, you will make choices in your individual game, that will then affect how Mogafi writes following chapters. So in a way, everyone who plays is contributing to Jenny’s story.
As Jenny you interrogate suspects who reveal clues or give tells toward their guilt or innocence, while opening a variety of dialogue options. Travel through a variety of sleek, hand drawn levels, including abandoned mines, forgotten graveyards and tranquil lakes. Mogafi founder and Jenny LeClue creator, Joe Russ, also says they are working on cool interactions specific to PS4 features.
Though no specific release date has been announced, if you’re a fan of games like Broken Age, Sam and Max or Telltale’s The Walking Dead, then Jenny Leclue – Detectivú is definitely a game you’ll want to keep your eyes out for in 2016. Check out the teaser trailer below.
