Nexon Games and LoreVault have announced development of a single-player fantasy romp set in Korea’s Joseon era known as Woochi the Wayfarer, which is coming to PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S at an as-yet undisclosed date.
Speaking on the news, Park Yong-hyun, CEO of Nexon Games, commented:

Described as a blockbuster adventure game, Woochi the Wayfarer follows the The Mage of the Way, Jeon Woochi, bringing to life the Joseon fantasy world with the power of Unreal Engine 5. Plucking inspiration from classic Korean novel The Tale of the Jeon Woochi, this single-player adventurer promises to immerse players with a compelling blend of magical settings and Korean traditional creatures and music.
Woochi the Wayfarer is a new title from Nexon Games that is being developed with the goal of delivering a game with quality and content that meets the expectations of the global market. LoreVault, the developer of Woochi the Wayfarer, is collaborating with experts in various fields such as Korean literature and traditional music to effectively represent Korea’s unique history and culture within the game. They are also conducting location hunting, personally visiting cultural sites across Korea to recreate the Joseon era in high-quality 3D.
Woochi the Wayfarer is currently in development for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, with a release date yet to be announced.
