Just Cause 2 delayed until 2009

Eidos has announced that the release of Just Cause 2 has been pushed back until 2009, reports Eurogamer.

Developed by Avalanche Studios, the sequel promises to implement a number of improvements over its predecessor, including some elements that were left out of the original title.

Among the new features include enhanced Artificial Intelligence, a new targeting system allowing players to pin point specific body parts, along with new weapons and improved vehicle controls.

Furthermore, side missions have now been removed, with players instead able to take part in chaos activities that promote influence in various factions by embarking on destructive rampages.

We’ll have more on the game as it breaks.
