Grappling hook aficionados, rejoice. Just Cause 3, the long-awaited open-world action sequel from the folks over at Avalanche Studios is officially heading to PS4 in 2015, publisher Square Enix has confirmed.
Long billed as the gaming world’s worst kept secret, the Avalanche Studios-developed sequel has forever been on the cusp of a fully-fledged reveal, having been spotted through a LinkedIn profile as well as a relatively overt Tweet by the developer themselves as early as last year.
Taking the cover story in the December issue of Game Informer, the third entry in the much-loved grappling hook simulator will take place in the Mediterranean and promises to be the ‘’culmination of a decade’s worth of open-world evolution and innovation.’’
The developer further teased the reveal via a press release, saying that ‘’Just Cause 3 truly represents the next generation of chaotic sandbox fun, and we can’t wait to show you more next year.’’
Sounds promising, indeed.
