Just Cause 3 day-one PS4 patch detailed, file size confirmed

Just Cause 3 will require players to download a day-one patch when it officially hits stores on December 1. We say ‘officially,’ because the game has already had its street date broken in some areas, hence why we’re bringing you details on said patch.

The PlayStation 4 version of the patch weighs in at 2.8GB and brings the game to version 1.01. Right now it isn’t known if there will be another update rolling out for release date or around the time of launch. See below for a full roundup of patch notes (via VG247) and have a look at the full map for Just Cause 3 to see just how huge the game world is.

Just Cause 3 will require just under 36GB of space on your PS4’s hard drive, although it’s still a little smaller than the Xbox One version in terms of file size. The sequel takes place on the fictional island of Medici, with players controlling protagonist Rico Rodriguez as he returns home after leaving The Agency. However, he soon discovers the island is in fact under the control of General Di Ravello, a brutal dictator hell bent on world domination. Many of the signature features of the game’s predecessor, 2010’s Just Cause 2, will return for the sequel, including the grappling hook and parachute, although their functionality has been slightly improved this time around.
