Bokeh Game Studio Keiichiro Toyama News PS4 PS5 Slitterhead

Keiichiro Toyama Wouldn’t Be ‘Unsatisfied’ If Slitterhead Was His Last Directorial Role

Bokeh Game Studio‘s Keiichiro Toyama has revealed during an interview with Games Radar+ that he wouldn’t be ‘unsatisfied’ if the upcoming Slitterhead would be his last effort in the director’s chair.

The Silent Hill creator, who formed Bokeh Game Studio following his departure from SIE Japan Studio in late 2020, made it clear he doesn’t have any plans to stop making games, but nonetheless is thinking about what he can leave for younger game creators in the future as he approaches his mid-50s.

From a personal perspective, I’m going into my mid-50s, I don’t feel like I’d be unsatisfied even if this was the last game I made. I opened up this studio and we actually have a lot of new staff coming in, younger staff. I’m more concerned about what I can leave behind for them. Obviously I’m not saying this is my last game. But I think my last mission is to leave a path for these younger creators to work on what they want to.
