Kenka Bancho 3 coming to North America

For all our North American readers, you’ll soon get a chance to play the PSP brawler Kenka Bancho 3 as Atlus announced today it will publish the game stateside in early 2010. The game is the third in the series, and puts the player in the role of a high school student on a class trip to a historic Japanese city.

Atlus is looking for help creating a name more appealing to Western audiences through an online survey. “Bancho” is a Japanese term for someone who’s “in charge because he’s the meanest, toughest, and strongest dude around,” according to Atlus. “Kenka” means fighting. As the name may explain, you’re tasked with being a tough-guy, and kicking some major ass in the process.

The game boasts a two-player cooperative mode, so you can bring along a friend. The story mode has you exploring the city while beating up thugs for the limited time you have on vacation. Doesn’t that sound fun?

Head over to Atlus’ website and fill out a survey to help the company (re)name Kenka Bancho 3 for its North American release.
