Suda51’s slash-‘em-up Killer is Dead has been put under the review microscope in Famitsu, scoring 35/40.
The publication (via Polygon) awarded the game 9/9/9/8 from its four editors, earning the Grasshopper Manufacture title a Platinum award.
Killer is Dead is thematically linked with Killer7 and No More Heroes, though it isn’t a directly sequel to either game. The game takes place in the near future, with players controlling executioner Mondo Zappa. Employed by the Bryan Execution Firm, Zappa is tasked with eliminating a series of criminals and assassins across the globe.
The game will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in August.
