Twitter seems to be the new way for studios to make announcements in as few words as possible. The official Twitter account for King of Fighters XII announced that the game will hit retailers on July 28.
The “tweet” said KOF12… “is happy to announce that the official release date for KOF12 is July 28, 2009! Mark your calendars and get your pre-orders in now!!!”
The game features 22 characters in the standard KOF three-on-three gameplay. The latest version in the series lets you use aid guards and guard attacks. In addition, SNK is preparing DLC for the game with PlayStation 3 owners getting an exclusive “Clan” online mode that is not available on the Xbox 360 version.
