Earlier this week, KH13.com discovered that a free-to-play Kingdom Hearts game was in development for iOS and Android, but has since been cancelled. Why Kingdom Hearts: Fragmented Keys was canned we don’t yet know, but what’s interesting is some of the concept art from the project.
Created by GFL Animation Studios, the Kingdom Hearts artwork shows new game worlds from the likes of the Star Wars Universe, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Tangled, Frozen and Wreck-it-Ralph. This has spurred rumours that Kingdom Hearts 3 could feature some of these worlds, from the likes of Frozen’s Arendalle to Star War’s Tatooine, as well as many of the characters from these popular franchises.

All we do know for sure is that we can expect lots of new and returning characters in Kingdom Hearts 3. Multiplayer has also been rumoured, though a release date for Kingdom Hearts 3 has yet to be confirmed. A teaser trailer for Square Enix’s action role-playing game was released at E3 in 2013.
