Square Enix has hinted that Kingdom Hearts 3 may come to PlayStation 3 in addition to the previously confirmed PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the Disney-RPG sequel.
The company rolled out a new survey on its official Facebook page for the series, which asks consumers numerous questions including the topic of how important localisation is and what format gamers are playing on.
While the usual suspects are listed, such as PS4, Xbox One and Wii U, there’s also options for last-generation formats, and the PS3 has its own separate question for users to answer. Could this possibly hint that Square Enix is looking to bring the hotly anticipated Kingdom Hearts 3 to Sony’s ageing system?
PlayStation Vita and 3DS are also mentioned, although it seems unlikely that Square Enix is considering bringing the new game to those formats; if anything, they’re gauging interest in possible updated versions of older Kingdom Hearts titles.
Those of you who are interested in taking part in the survey had better get their skates on; you only have until June 12 to complete it.
Kingdom Hearts 3 was announced during Sony’s E3 2013 press conference via a brief teaser trailer. However, little info has been revealed on the project since, though it is expected the game will show up after March 31, 2016. Still, the good news is development is said to be ‘going smoothly.’
