Square Enix has indicated in its latest financial briefing that Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XV will not be released in the current fiscal year.
The Japanese company outlined its software line-up for the remainder of the current fiscal year, which ends March 31, 2016.
However, while the likes of Rise of the Tomb Raider, Just Cause 3, Deus Ex: Machina Divided, Dragon Quest Heroes and Star Ocean 5 are included in this line-up, Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 are not.
As such, we can extrapolate from this info that both games will not arrive until after March 31, 2016, and will most likely not turn up until the latter half of next year.
At this point, it looks like Final Fantasy XV won’t arrive on shelves until more than a decade after it was announced at E3 2006 as Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
Kingdom Hearts 3 was announced at E3 2013 during Sony’s press conference. Square Enix has remained coy on a release date for the Disney-RPG, although recently said development was ‘going smoothly.’
