Kingdom Hearts Collection [I – III] is launching for PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S on October 8, Square Enix has announced. The package includes Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind.
For those out of the loop, that equals to, well, a lot of games. For starters, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX includes the following titles: Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (HD Remastered Cinematics), Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix, and Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded (HD Remastered Cinematics).
Meanwhile, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue features Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD, Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage, and Kingdom Hearts x Back Cover (movie). Kingdom Hearts III rounds out the collection alongside its Re Mind DLC. That should keep you busy for a while!
Kingdom Hearts originally launched in 2002 and takes the form of an RPG series that combines elements of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy franchise, such as its iconic characters, and marries them with Disney and Pixar characters and locations. Expect to see everyone from Cloud, Sephiroth, Donald Duck, Goofy, Ariel the Little Mermaid, Woody, and more across the franchise, which features a surprisingly intricate narrative full of twists and turns.
