According to Variety, Konami has snapped up the rights to publish the forthcoming videogame adaptation of Saw for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 later this year.
Sources indicated that Lionsgate had originally planned to distribute the game under its own label, though concern over the studios inexperience in the market ultimately prompted the company to seek a new publisher.
The game will be released in Fall 2009 to coincide with the upcoming sixth instalment in the popular horror movie franchise.
