Fresh news pertaining to Metal Gear Solid: Rising will rear its head this winter, according to Konami president Shinji Hirano.
Chatting with G4, Hirano-san wouldn’t go into any specific details on the matter, though teased we can expect "something big" to drop later this year.
“The reason why we didn’t mention information on Rising at this moment is because we are making something big, and that is coming for this winter season,” he commented.
“So please everybody expect to see some news for Rising this winter season.”
Konami confirmed during its pre-E3 showcase on Thursday that Rising wouldn’t be making an appearance at E3 next week, though did nail down a 2012 date for the project.
Rising is set prior to the events of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and stars ninja swordsman Raiden, the protagonist of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. The game is due out on PlayStation , PC and Xbox 360 platforms.
