Konami has outlined its plans for Gamescom 2015 today, confirming that the highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 will be playable at the Cologne-based event.
The event will mark the first time both games are playable to the general public, the company noted.
“METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN and PES 2016 will be available for the public to play for the first time at this year’s gamescom; and that´s the kind of line-up that packs a punch,” said Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. General Manager, Martin Schneider.
“KONAMI is going to present two stunning games for the current console generation at the most important consumer exhibition in the world, and further showcases KONAMI’s commitment to bringing AAA-titles to the consumer.”
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is due out on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on September 1. PES 2016 meanwhile launches just a few weeks later on September 17.
Gamescom takes place August 5-9 in Cologne, Germany.
