L.A. Noire tops U.S. May software sales

The NPD Group has dished out its latest U.S. software figures, confirming Rockstar-published crime caper L.A. Noire came out on top as the best-selling game in the region for May 2011.

Developed by Team Bondi, the 1940s thrilled triumphed over stiff competition from the likes of Brink and LEGO: Pirates of the Caribbean, which came in at second and third place, respectively.

Elsewhere, Portal 2 continues to pull in the punters at four, with Mortal Kombat rounding out the top five. Check out the full Top Ten below.
