Real estate company Movoto decided to have a little bit of fun this week by examining the fictional estate of Tomb Raider legend Lara Croft and coming up with a value for Croft Manor, which has appeared in many videogames and films featuring the female fictional star.
Surrey-based mansion Hatfield House, known to be inspiration for Croft Manor, was the starting point for the U.S. based company who used floor plans to calculate its approximate size. It then took into account its location, said to be 30 miles southwest of London, before working out the price per square foot.
Movoto worked out that the price per square foot was approximately $577. It then took the total size of Croft Manor, estimated to be 75,000/sqft and came up with the final value of $43.2 million.
