Yesterday’s Silent Hill 2 Remake update 1.004 featured a ton of key bug fixes for Bloober Team’s horror game, but it also brought an unwanted bug that blocks the player’s progression in the labyrinth.
Users have been flocking to the Silent Hill Reddit to report that the cube puzzle, which sees James having to rotate a cube to access new pathways in a building opposite, is not functioning as intended.
One user wrote that “the cube puzzle is not updating after completing a zone,” while another simply said, “I’m stuck here.” The issue appears to have impacted the PS5 and PC versions of Silent Hill 2 Remake.
Literally saved and quit last night after finishing the first Path, to wake up to an update that might’ve broke it. I’m a PC-player so just know Steam’s version got broke too! Waiting to see if they release a super quick hotfix soon.
