PlayStation 3 owners were left behind when Valve released its hit zombie shooter Left 4 Dead last year. Any hopes that the follow-up would land on Sony’s console were more or less diminished by a recent comment from Valve’s Doug Lambardi.
Over the weekend, a listing for Left 4 Dead 2 on PS3 appeared briefly on the EA Website. The listing was quickly updated — the PS3 version was removed — leaving many PS3 owners hopeful that EA accidentally spilled the beans on a secret ‘L4D2 for PS3’ plan.
A comment from Lombardi to Xbox Evolved dismissed such rumors. He said, “That’s a typo. Check the trailer – ‘exclusively on Xbox 360 and PC.’”
It looks like the Left 4 Dead series will remain Microsoft exclusive, for now.
