SEGA has revealed in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine that Like A Dragon: The Man Who Erased His Name will come packing a range of side activities as you would expect of the series, including playable retro games in the shape of Daytona USA 2 and Fighting Vipers 2.
Both of these games are playable in the arcades, but you’ll also be able to access Flicky and Galaxy Force FM on home console in-game. Beyond that, you can also expect the likes of Pocket Circuit, Karaoke, Darts, and the Boutique, allowing you to switch out Kazuma Kiryu’s clothes.
Like A Dragon: The Man Who Erased His Name is due out on November 9, 2023 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. The game takes place between the events of Like A Dragon (aka Yakuza) 6 & 7, with Kiryu having faked his death and gone into hiding.
Beyond this game, developer Ryu Ga Gotoko Studio is working on Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, which is due for release in 2024 and will also featured Kiryu. In fact, despite the character seemingly being retired in Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, the developer said it was always intended that the Dragon of Dojima would make a comeback.
