LittleBigPlanet aims to take over YouTube

Sony announced today that it has opened up an official YouTube channel for Media Molecule’s critically acclaimed platformer, LittleBigPlanet. According to the Press Release, the channel will be utilized in order to deliver fresh news, upcoming content, and the creativity of the community to even more viewers and potential consumers.

"The official UK LittleBigPlanet YouTube page will celebrate this User Generated Content by hosting a favourites section, featured users, tutorials from Media Molecule themselves, cultural collaborations, challenges, event promotions and footage. Visitors can become fans of the page, vote on and link their favourite videos to their own page as well as giving hints and tips to each other."

Furthermore, Sony is running a contest entitled "Around the world in 80 SackBoys" competition. In order to enter, Sony is expecting gamers to create unique levels displaying landmarks from around the world. Of course, don’t expect to just win a small in-game crown for your efforts. Instead, Media Molecule will pick the winner who shall receive an around the world trip for two plus £1000 spending money.
