If you are a true gadget fan, you’ll want to get your hands on Logitech’s new PS3 IR adapter, which allows you to use a universal remote to control your PS3. The adapter takes an infrared (IR) signal from a Harmony remote and converts it to a Bluetooth wireless signal that commands your PS3.
Logitech’s new adapter is exclusive to Sony’s PS3 since it speaks specific Bluetooth language. The good news is it’s powered from an external AC power adapter and not through a PS3 USB port. Of course you can expect a quick reconfiguration of the remote.
So if you use a Harmony remote for your cable box, computer, audio receiver, and TV, you’ll probably want to part with $59.99 and purchase this adapter for your PS3.
The adapter will be available in Australia in the next few days, in the next few weeks for North America, and in July for Europe.
