Logitech today announced the advanced wired G633 and wireless G933 Artemis Spectrum gaming headsets for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The veteran tech accessories company believes it can craft gaming headsets with better quality than the competition, as evident by a quote in the press release taking a jab at the current marketplace. “We saw that no one was really building a pair of high quality headphones for gamers,” said Ujesh Desai, vice president and general manager of the Logitech gaming business. “So we challenged our audio team to see if they could do it.”
With the gauntlet thrown down, the veteran sound engineering team at Logitech developed what they call the Pro-G audio drivers that are produced from hybrid mesh materials to deliver audiophile-like sound with clear highs and deep bass for gamers. Furthermore, these are the first headphones equipped with both 7.1 Dolby and DTS Headphone:X surround sound processing, but only on PC unfortunately (sorry, only stereo sound on consoles). For chatting, the G633 and G933 carry a crystal-clear noise-cancelling boom mic with an LED indicator to always know if you’re muted or not. When you want to enjoy audio-only, the mic folds away, clear from your view.
Customization is another big focus with Logitech’s approach on these two new gaming headsets. On the functional side, their on-board buttons and audio equalizer settings are programmable, allowing custom control and unique sound profiles. The look of your headsets glow can be tailored thanks to the customizable RGB lighting accents with selection of up to 16.8 million colors. All these elements can be personalized using the Logitech Gaming Software on PC. Lastly, switchable back-lit speaker plates offer another way to express yourself in style.
Check out more details on features and specifications on Logitech’s G633 and G933 product pages. The wired G633 will launch in September for $149.99 and the wireless G933 later in October for $199.99. Look forward to our review in the near future.
