Yoshimi Yasuda, CEO of Dragami Games and producer on Lollipop Chainsaw remake, has taken to Twitter to highlight a number of key points about the upcoming project, chiefly queuing any concerns about changes to the game’s story and aesthetics.
We have taken notice that there has ben speculation that the remake will change the story. We believe that Lollipop Chainsaw’s story is a huge part of what fans love about the original game, and we, the development staff, feel the same. As such, the story will not be changed in the remake.
Another thing that won’t be changed is the design for main character Juliet, which will no doubt please fans of the original version.
Yasuda-san also revealed that the goal behind the project is to get Lollipop Chainsaw out on modern platforms, and as they can’t use 16 licensed songs, a simple remaster wasn’t possible, hence the remake.
