Lords of the Fallen 2 PS4 is still some way off

CI Games has announced that Lords of the Fallen 2 is still in active development, though it’ll likely be some time before the game sees the light of day.

According to the developer’s CEO, Marek Tyminski, the project has been scaled down to a “very small team” and CI Games is keen on ensuring the sequel will be “a great game” and so the game will be in development for as long as it take to achieve this level of quality. In other words, there’s certainly going to be no rushed sequel out the door, and given the fact a small team is involved, it won’t have the luxury of a massive, triple-A  force behind it.

Lords of the Fallen 2 was initially pencilled in for a 2017 release, although it’s highly unlikely we’ll see it this year. Despite this, Tyminski did say that CI is shopping around for a partner to work on the title with, which, if successful, could speed up development time and result in the game hitting stores in a few years’ time.

The original Lords of the Fallen was released in 2014 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. Stay tuned for more information on the Lords of the Fallen 2 release as we get it.
